HUBUNGAN ANTARA KONSUMSI JENIS CAMILAN MALAM DAN KENAIKAN BERAT BADAN PADA POPULASI DEWASA DI INDONESIA

ABSTRAK: Konsumsi camilan pada malam hari dapat meningkatkan asupan energi dan dapat menyebabkan keseimbangan energi positif yang berujung pada peningkatan berat badan.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara konsumsi camilan malam dengan kenaikan berat badan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan survei online pada populasi dewasa di Indonesia. Frekuensi dan jenis camilan malam, berat badan, tinggi badan dan kenaikan berat badan dilaporkan melalui kuesioner yang diisikan mandiri oleh subjek. Sebesar 157 subjek terkumpul pada penelitian ini. Didapatkan 39,5% dari subjek mengalami kenaikan berat badan dalam satu tahun terakhir. Sebesar 17,2% dan 24,8% subjek memiliki status gizi beresiko obesitas dan obesitas. Konsumsi camilan malam ≥ 3 kali seminggu dilakukan oleh 46,5% subjek dengan jenis camilan yang paling sering dikonsumsi dari sumber pangan karbohidrat dan berjenis makanan manis.  Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara konsumsi camilan malam berupa makanan berminyak (P-Value = 0,009) dan minuman manis dan (P-Value = 0,048) dengan kenaikan berat. Dibutuhkan intervensi berupa mempromosikan pemilihan makanan yang lebih sehat dan menghindari makanan tinggi gula, energi, dan lemak sebagai camilan malam untuk pencegahan kenaikan berat badan.
