Abstrak

Responsibility according to law is the result of the consequences of someone who commits an act related to ethics and morals in carrying out an act, the actions of online media in committing violations of publication regarding reporting on children in conflict with the law are a violation of legal provisions. The problem that occurs is that there are still widespread violations committed by the news media by reporting the identities of children in conflict with the law on online platforms. This research is sociological normative legal research because it combines two studies, namely legal analysis and field studies. Research shows that law enforcement against online media in Indonesia has not been fully enforced, because the Press Law does not yet regulate the imposition of sanctions for online media, only regulates administrative sanctions, therefore the Press Law needs to be refined. Responsibility for reporting the identity of children in conflict with the law can be held accountable personally or corporately, namely, the editor-in-chief because the editor-in-chief is the party responsible for the news published in the media. And take responsibility for their actions by providing the right to responsibility and the right to correction. Law enforcement against online media for violations of reporting children's identities requires clear and firm sanctions, not only in the juvenile criminal justice system but also in the Press Law as an effort to prevent or scare someone before committing the act.
